What is Camp2020?
Camp2020 is a 501(c)(3) organization focused on fostering meaningful relationships and whole-person development through faith-centered retreats, workshops, and events. Our programs emphasize growth in spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational aspects of life.
Camp 20/20 is a non-profit Christian Education service established to address and shape the whole person through Whole-Person Formation: Learning with your Triune Being (Spirit, soul, body). The seven Dimensions of Whole Person Formation are Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Social, Vocational (Call), and Stewardship.
Camp – To take up one’s position: In Christ, we begin seeing clearly.
20/20 – Seeing things from God’s perspective and responding according to Scripture.
Remain in Me, and I in you. Just as a branch cannot produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me (John 15:4).
To be in Christ should result in living Christ inwardly (thoughts) and outwardly (actions), resulting in (producing fruit).
Although the vision was given in 1995, camp 20/20 was founded in May 2009 as a 501(c)(3) enterprise and has been in its developmental phase since then. With its investment in Mill Creek Ranch, Camp 20/20 has planned a series of retreats, couples getaways, and family gatherings.
A three-member Board of Trustees governs Camp 20/20 and provides administrative and financial guidance, leadership, and vision. Board members serve for three-year terms and are appointed by the Executive Director.
Initially, Camp 20/20 retreats will be conducted by Harry and Pam Everett. They will use materials they have developed and materials obtained from Harry’s master’s program at Dallas Theological Seminary and from 17 years of attendance at programs offered through Coaches’ Outreach. As additional materials become available, they will be integrated into the program. In addition, Harry and Pam Everett have selected other presenters to speak on topics that will enhance the retreat experience.
Contributors to Camp 20/20 will receive publicity, the opportunity to stay at Mill Creek Ranch free of charge on non-retreat weekends, and, of course, the tax benefits to those who support 501(c)(3) enterprises.
1. There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of Deity and the characteristics of personality (Matt. 28:18–19; Mark 12:29; John 1:14; 2 Cor. 13:14; ).
2. All Scripture is inspired by God, written by humans moved by the Holy Spirit, and is without error in its original manuscripts (2 Timothy 3:16)
3. Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, who became fully human through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. Hence, He is the perfect Deity, and true humanity is united in one person forever (Phil. 2:5–8).
4. Jesus lived a sinless life, performed true miracles, and voluntarily atoned for sinners by dying on the cross as their substitute, thus satisfying divine justice and accomplishing salvation for all those who would believe that Jesus is their personal Savior (Romans 3-25-26, 2 Cor. 5:14; 21)
5. Jesus rose from the dead in the same body, though glorified, in which He lived and died (John 20:20; Phil. 3:20–21).
6. Jesus ascended bodily into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father, where He became the head of His church, served as the only mediator between God and man, and continually made intercession for His own (Eph. 1:22–23; 2:18)
7. Man was originally created in the image of God. He sinned by disobeying God and thus alienated from his Creator. The fall resulting in total depravity (Gen. 1:26; 2:17)
8. Salvation is by Grace alone, by Faith alone, in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8).
9. Regeneration is a permanent work of the Holy Spirit that seals the believer into eternal fellowship with God. As a transforming work of God, it cannot be undone by any work (Ephesian 1:13)
10. The Holy Spirit empowers the believer to glorify the Father through obedience to the Son by bearing spiritual fruit, bestowing spiritual gifts, and enabling a life that bears witness to the Son through testimony and Christlikeness (Rom. 8:9; 1 Cor. 12:13; Gal. 5:22-23, 25; Eph. 4:11-14, 30)
11. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, His Body, which is composed of all people, living and dead, who have been joined to Him through saving faith (1 Cor. 11:3; Eph. 1:20–23; 5:23-24)
This community of faith is called to exist in unity under the person and work of Christ.
12. At physical death, the believer enters immediately into eternal conscious fellowship with the Lord, while the unbeliever enters immediately into eternal conscious separation from the Lord (2 Cor. 5:8; Phil. 1:23; 1 Thess. 4:13–18; Rev. 20:11–15).
13. Restoration of humanity and creation -Christ’s Return (1 Thess. 4:13–18; Titus 2:11–14 )
The Lord Jesus Christ commanded all believers to proclaim the gospel and make disciples of people throughout the world (Matt 28:18-19)
